Executive Coach

Stan Greene has devoted the better part of the last 30 years to the study and application of transformational leadership. From the United States Army, through IBM and to senior marketing roles in an agency environment and in regional banking, Stan honed the ability to cut to the core of critical issues. He helps teams unleash their capacity to attain success in the face of rapid and unprecedented change. He has coached family business owners, non-profit executives and high potential emerging leaders in health care and financial services as they planned for succession and responded to upheaval in their respective industries. Stan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wake Forest University. He is certified as an executive coach by the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and earned the Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coach Federation in 2006. He lives in Michigan.

“You had to be there” moment: Carving first tracks from the Storm Peak summit in the champagne powder of Steamboat Springs, Colo., on a perfect April morning.

Year of memorable performances: 2004, when I fronted a blues band on Bourbon Street in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and took the stage at the Flamingo in Las Vegas to sing during a show by comedian George Wallace.

Defining experience: Living in Heidelberg, Germany, for seven years during the 1970s.

Source of joy: Helping to raise children who are expressive, caring and self-assured.
